St. Bartholomew’s offers several ministries that exist to help you reach our church and community with the love of Christ. Available Serving Opportunities

Choirs

The Adult Choir is open to all people ages 14 through adult.

The Junior Choir is open to children ages 7 through 13.

The Cherub Choir is open to children under the age of 6

There is also a High School aged worship team

Worship Team

Do you have a talent for singing or playing an instrument? This musical group leads Contemporary Worship during selected services.

Children's Ministry Volunteers

The children's ministry is always welcoming qualified adults who wish to help in various programs and events, such as Sunday School, Lego Club, and Vacation Bible School.

Volunteers are also needed to watch children ages 3 and under in the nursery during the 10:00am worship service. Please consider tithing your time one week per month to this ministry.

Youth Ministry Volunteers

Generation Next offers opportunities to qualified members to serve as small group leaders, youth mentors, prayer partners, and drivers to help with youth group and various events.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild and Junior Altar Guild is for women and girls who prepare the sanctuary and the Lord's Table for weekly worship services.

Lay Readers

Opportunities are available for lay members to fulfill an important role during worship services to read select passages and assist with the administering of communion.

Prayer Chain

The prayer chain is an outreach ministry and a line of communication among believers who are willing to be “on call” to pray for a specific need.

Garden and Grounds

Volunteers needed to help maintain the gardens and landscaping around the church property as well as those who can assist with maintenance projects.

Kitchen and Coffee Hour Servers

We are always looking for people who would love serving in our kitchen ministry or help with Sunday morning Coffee Hour.

Media Tech and Creative Arts

Love cables, keyboards or creative touches? We are always looking for volunteers to mix sound, operate projection screens, design graphics, take photos and manage social media.

Visitation Ministry

Compassionate volunteers who minister to members who are physically unable to attend weekly services.

Hospitality (Shepherds, Ushers, Greeters)

Every week we love showing our visitors and parishioners the warmth and compassion of Christ. Greeters welcome people before service as they arrive. Ushers are faithful men needed to help with various duties during each of the worship services and at special events. Shepherds are on hand to meet and attend to the needs of our first time guests.

A Hospitality group also provides meals for our Church families that may have had a birth, illness or death in their family.  Volunteers will be on rotation throughout the year.

Acolytes

Acolytes are youth who assist the celebrants during our worship services.  For more information about joining this important ministry please contact the church office or fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Library

The video and book library has a large collection of Christian based, family oriented videos and books available for members of the church.  Videos are lent out for a two week time period.  Library cards, books, and videos may be obtained on Sundays between services.
